We Have A Big Tent And There Is Room For More!!

Dues are paid each quarter for the club, Mo-Kan Federation, and Cosmopolitan International.  The combined dues for all of these is $30/quarter.  Other ongoing costs are based on your participation in events and activities.  Monthly dinner meetings are charged to those in attendance - the current rate is $20/person.  Any beverages at dinner meetings are paid by the person.  The 5-6 social events per year tend to have a fixed/defined cost per person but vary significantly based on the activity.  Other costs do occur from time to time but are also based on individual participation, such as club shirts, hats, and other Cosmo items.

You define the time committed to the club.  We find that people get more out of the club experience as they get involved in more activities.  We hope each member will come to every Cosmo activity, but, people have busy lives and we know that Cosmos are only one of the things competing for your time.  Monthly meetings tend to last about 2-3 hours (for a meal, often a speaker of interest, and conducting club business).  Social events tend to be 2-4 hours, depending on the activity, most often on a weekend.  Volunteer events vary from 1-4 hours each and also vary as to when they occur.  Fundraising events typically require 5-7 hours per event, but this varies by activity as well.  As you might get more involved you could join a committee or a Board position that generally takes 2-3 hours per month.  A heavily involved Cosmo member might spend about 3-8 hours per month on Cosmo activities, but some members are only able to do occasional events and that is great as well. 

We begin by asking "What do you want to give and what activities fit your schedule?"  Many members are deeply involved with most Cosmo Club activities while others have time for a few of our events.  Either way is your choice.
